Criminal justice expert Chris Geidner just deleted this tweet saying he wanted to impeach President Trump over his mean tweet directed at Greta Thunberg:
A few minutes later he added:
I never imagined being this embarrassed, this mortified, this sad, about what the leader of the nation looks like. He does not even want to be seen as doing good or “the right thing.” He does not want to be a role model. He wants to be, as Adam Serwer told us, cruel. That’s him.

ICYMI from our earlier post, here’s the tweet that impeachable:

Anyway, when called out on his now-deleted tweet, Geidner suggested to take him seriously but not literally:
I haven't seen the tweet in reference here…. but are we really lowering the bar for impeachment to a mean tweet?!?!?!?! I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
You don't get to impeach a president because his tweets are mean or embarrass you — what the hell??? https://t.co/wJuOzEAy29

Of course I don’t actually think we should impeach over the tweet. I’m just over it. It’s so dispiriting. It’s so constant. … It’s moments like that that just shine a light on who he wants to be, who he wants to be seen as, how he wants be known. So, I’ll know him that way.

Glad we cleared this up!
I mean you literally said we must remove him from office and referenced the tweet. Not a big leap to make there. but im glad you clarified.
