Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, who was just hired by the White House to help defend the president on impeachment, wrongly referred to EU Amb. Gordon Sondland multiple times as Ambassador to Ukraine in an interview with CBS News:
Pam Bondi, just brought on WH communications ace on impeachment, has done her first interview
on CBS, she dismissed Gordon Sondland as a “short-term” ambassador to Ukraine
he’s not the ambassador to Ukraine

Bondi on Sondland: "let's let the testimony come out today…He was Ambassador to the Ukraine, he is Ambassador to the Ukraine. And the president knows him, the president doesn't know him very well….of course he knows him he is the Ambassador."

“He was the Ambassador to Ukraine,” Bondi said inaccurately multiple times on CBS. “The President does not know him very well. Of course he knows him, he’s the Ambassador.”

This is actually a Dem talking point and referring to him as the ‘short-term ambassador to Ukraine” doesn’t help at all:
Sondland *is* the US Ambassador to the EU, not Ukraine. But that’s the problem — Dems argue Sondland and Giuliani were essentially put in that role by POTUS, after Amb. Yovanovitch was ousted.

This should have gone much better, TBH:
Sondland – Ambassador to EU
Ukrain is NOT part of the European Union
Sondland had NO business being involved from the start.
Whether Pam Bondi is serving on the communications or legal team, she is misrepresenting basic facts https://t.co/k99Clc1qqq

She also avoided answering how much contact Sondland has had with the president:
Notable that Ms. Bondi did all she could to avoid this simple question: how much is/has been Gordon Sondland in contact with the President? https://t.co/SHq0uSM6Ul
