It’s not often that a politician shot/chasers himself in the same tweet, so kudos to Pete Buttigieg for doing so regarding the use of God as a political cudgel in the 2020 campaign. Apparently, he’s both for and against it:
Buttigieg tells TODAY that he wants people to "stop seeing religion as a kind of cudgel as if God belonged to a political party."
Then he added, "And if he did, I can’t imagine it would be the one that sent the current president into the White House."
