The New York Times’ Jeremy Peters is coming under fire for this comment he made during an interview with MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell where he declared Joe Biden a better candidate against Donald Trump because of his “physical presence”:
.@jwpetersNYT on Biden: He's somebody that can punch at Trump in way that others would struggle to do with presence. Presence is a big thing when going up against Donald Trump. A physical presence. #AMRstaff

LOL. They’re mad, Jeremy:
Honestly this is the dumbest thing I have heard in the 2020 cycle to date. https://t.co/8EISCGT6My

This is the kind of gendered gobbledygook that passes as political "analysis" https://t.co/xFpYuO9MJp

Anyone who watched @HillaryClinton (a petite woman) beat Donald Trump in debates knows that this is ridiculous. https://t.co/9aNEsUwwJP

Trump is more threatened by women than men. More likely to be thrown off his game. More likely to underestimate (see Pelosi, Nancy). And on some of the principal attacks on his character they are better positioned.

And whatever her other faults as a candidate, Hillary whooped him in two debates and still beat him in the third.

Got that, white dudes? Just STFU:
Anyway let’s not let white male reporters decide who is and isn’t a viable candidate, thanks.
