Rolling Stone has a new article out with what could be the most unbelievable headline in the history of unbelievable headlines:
What the actual eff is up with this?
— Alex Kane (@alexjkane) March 23, 2018
This rewrite of the headline has since gone viral with over 21,000 likes: “Actually @RollingStone, I crunched the numbers. Turns out video games are 0% as violent as ‘actual war.'”
— Zach Lane (@Zachuhtak) March 21, 2018
Fact check: True.
But if you notice, the headline is actually more bogus than at first glance as the sub-head clarifies that they’re talking about “military simulations” and not “actual war”:
“I think in general, video games are much, much more violent than military operations or military simulations”
This headline is even inaccurate to the story it's headlining. The man said video games are 90 times more violent than military simulations not "actual war." This is actual clickbait. https://t.co/LCej02KKJL
