See update below: As we expected, this was a hoax.
The parody “Seinfeld” show account called “Seinfeld Current Today” tweeted this now overdone joke earlier on Friday making fun of brands getting in on the “we’re not selling AR-15s” bandwagon:
respect to @olivegarden for no longer selling AR-15s at all their locations
— Seinfeld Current Day (@Seinfeld2000) March 2, 2018
And then this cease and desist letter allegedly happened:
But is it a hoax or is it real?
What law firm?
I sure hope this is a hoax— IWantNothingHat (@Popehat) March 3, 2018
But if this is real — and it is a law firm—
They must be dragged. Hard.
Let me know if you want help.

We have no idea if the letter is real, but quite a few blue-check are tweeting as if it’s legit:

Wow. This seems excessive… and right out of a ‘Seinfeld' episode! https://t.co/iRsqt5q6Du

But they’re still giving out unlimited breadsticks, right?
Update. Hoax confirmed:
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’ve looked into this and can confirm that our legal team has not been in contact with this individual nor did we send them the message that was posted.
