Just to come full circle, the White House press break room’s vending machine was restocked on Monday even though the government was still technically shut down:

WTH. Feeding reporters is an essential service? They can’t break in snacks from home?
As we told you over the weekend, the machine was cleaned out and reporters had nothing to munch on as they covered the funding crisis:

Well, since the press is so concerned about the president’s diet and weight and all, maybe the White House should replace all of the candy and chips in the vending machine with healthy snacks? You know, so the people in the media can lead by example.
