We’re learning more about what went down Sunday night in Las Vegas and according to the latest reports, an unarmed Mandalay Bay hotel security guard named Jesus Campos was the hero of the night:

According to police reports, gunman Stephen Paddock spotted Campos approaching his room and fired at him through the door, wounding him in the leg:

Campos, despite his wound, helped cops clear hotel rooms on the floor:

Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo recognized Campos and the hotel’s other security guards for their actions:
