Secretary Mattis is the first of President Trump’s nominees to get confirmed by the Senate. Now only 689 more to go:

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of NY was the sole no vote. Of note, she was appointed to fill the vacancy left by Hillary Clinton when she was confirmed as Secretary of State in 2009:
