It’s not just Charlie Sheen who acted like a complete jackass over the death of Debbie Reynolds and her daughter, Carrie Fisher. Comedian D.L. Hugley actually turned the family tragedy into a “black mama” joke:
Debbie Reynolds died a day after her daughter did! Black Mama's don't die cuz they kids do!They cry and say God don't make no mistakes!
— DL Hughley (@RealDLHughley) December 29, 2016
Hugley went on to defend his joke, saying, “as a comedian I should say what I see”:
As a human being you could have more compassion. As a father you could have more heart. As a comedian, you should have a seat.

Nah!! As a comedian I should say what I see

Absolutely, but in this instance I think any commentary other than condolences for a grieving family is heartless and humorless. #IMHO

Most don’t agree with the “comedian”:
There is something seriously wrong with you https://t.co/ijc4r6lEOu

I'm so shocked and disgusted that you even tweeted this that you've left me speechless. Lost all respect for you. Unfollowed. #NotCool https://t.co/RUEA6RlD55

This is such a trashy, disgusting joke
1. Black mothers desperately love their children
2. Faith in tragedy isn't a flaw
3. Just shut up https://t.co/61t21l67Eh— Shanelle Little (@ShanelleLittle) December 29, 2016

Here’s a screenshot for if/when Hughley deletes his “joke”:
