Can we talk about what we think was one of Hillary Clinton’s biggest gaffes of the night at the Commander-in-Chief forum last night please?
Here’s the Democratic nominee saying that if she’s elected, there will be no ground troops in Syria or Iraq to fight ISIS:

Here’s the video:
Clinton: "We are not putting ground troops into Iraq ever again, and we're not putting ground troops into Syria." https://t.co/J40mfT0H0f

Unbelievably — or maybe not so unbelievably — moderator Matt Lauer didn’t follow up and ask the “often confused” former Secretary of State what about the thousands of ground troops already in Iraq and Syria:
Lauer getting rightly whacked for Trump interview, but Clinton half also lame: Follow up on email but not Syria? Not ground troops in Iraq?

"We're going to defeat ISIS w/o committing ground troops."
Uh, Hillary. The US has thousands of troops in Iraq & Syria. #NBCNewsForum

Someone let the ground troops Obama just put in there know they're not really there… https://t.co/7d4x9Xa1NH

No ground troops in Iraq ever again, Hillary says.
There are thousands of US ground troops in Iraq now.

The idea that special forces aren't "ground troops" is just absurd.

But even worse, how can she as a candidate promise something like that? Who knows what might happen in the next few months that might necessitate the need for ground troops:
.@DanaPerino: "[HRC] said as commander-in-chief would not send any ground troops in…how can she know that? She knows she can't know that"

She’s doubly wrong, and she needs to be called on it.
