We have our first controversy during the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics, courtesy of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. (Apparently Canada gets to watch the Olympics live while we get Bob Costas in America blabbering and blabbering.)
Anyway, Brazilian Gisele Buendchen was on hand at the ceremony and came out on stage when they started playing the iconic song, “The Girl From Ipanema”:

And then the CBC referred to her as “Mrs. Tom Brady” and Canadians are losing it:

Did anyone else cringe when Peter Mansbridge referred to Gisele Bündchen as "Mrs. Tom Brady" pic.twitter.com/KA5Vn3ysLm

"isn't that Mrs. Tom Brady?" wtf @CBCOlympics. Gisele is only the highest paid model ever. Her net worth is double his. So it's Mr. Bunchen.

Calling Giselle Mrs. Tom Brady is beyond ridiculous, CBC. She's more famous worldwide and made double the money he has.

@CBCOlympics Really? So sexist! "Do you recognize her Peter? Yes, isn't that Mrs.Tom Brady?"
