Yesterday in Baltimore, a woman named Korryn Gaines was kiled and her 5-year-old son was shot during a standoff with police who were attempting to arrest her on an outstanding warrant related to a March traffic stop where she was charged with “disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and numerous traffic violations.”

From USA Today:
A suburban Baltimore woman who posted social media video of a 5-year-old boy during an hours-long standoff with police was shot dead by officers Monday, according to local law enforcement and news reports. The boy, believed to be her son, was injured, but is expected to survive.
The Baltimore County Police Department said in a statement that Korryn Gaines, 23, pointed a gun at officers serving arrest warrants at her Randallstown apartment. She was then shot and killed by the officers. Police said they could not immediately determine whether the boy was shot by Gaines or the officers.
Now, we don’t know exactly what happened, but we’re starting to see videos allegedly from Gaines’ social media accounts that paint a very disturbing picture of a woman who escalated encounters with the police during the original traffic stop and the deadly shooting on Monday.
Here are two videos from Daily News columnist Shaun King that were apparently shot from inside the house when the officers arrived to arrest her. Gaines is heard asking her son what the police are doing at the house, to which he responds: “They’re trying to kill us.”
Gaines: “Who’s outside?
He responds, “The police.”
Gaines: “And what are they trying to do?”
He responds: “They trying to kill us.”

King also posted videos from the earlier encounter, writing that she was “traumatized” by the traffic stop. But as you can see in the videos, the police are acting professionally throughout the entire encounter:
