A U.S. veteran and his passenger are recovering today after a man targeted their motorcycle in a bizarre road-rage attack Sunday near Tampa, Fla., all captured on video.

Robert Vance, 31, of Land O’ Lakes, FL — described as a “habitual traffic offender” and career criminal — was later arrested. From channel WFLA 8:

Robert Vance is being held without bond at the Pasco County Jail. He is facing one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, one count of leaving the scene of a crash involving injury and one count of operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license. Florida Highway Patrol says Vance is classified as a habitual traffic offender.

Vance has reportedly served time in prison on “drug, burglary and felony traffic charges.”

Joseph Calderazzo, the driver of the motorcycle, suffered a broken leg in the attack:

What a way to treat a veteran, on Memorial Day no less.
