CNN asks if this commercial for a Chinese laundry detergent is the “most racial ad ever.”
That’s a pretty high bar, so you be the judge!
In the ad, a black man covered in dirt and stains starts flirting with a pretty Chinese girl. The Chinese girl beckons the man to come over, but instead of kissing him, she shoves a laundry pod in his mouth (Chuck Schumer warned us!), throws him head first into the washing machine and then sits on it so he can’t escape. When the wash cycle is done, our heroine opens the lid and out pops a clean Chinese man.

Some thoughts from around Twitter:
I had high expectations for how racist this Chinese laundry detergent ad would be, and it massively exceeded them: https://t.co/PclJ3neMZU

Well, of course Vox thought this.
Perhaps another case of intentional offensiveness to gain free media thru controversy #RacistAd #Controvertizing https://t.co/0ENRyh8dLu
