Two of the emails released tonight by the State Department caught our eye. They’re both from Sidney Blumenthal to Hillary Clinton but we don’t know much about them because they’re classified.

The subject is, “Fw: H: some intel on internal german/euro manuevering. Sid.” The body of the email, which is some sort of report Blumenthal sent to Clinton, has been redacted in its entirety:
Here another now classified email from Blumenthal, this one comically shows an AOL ad on the bottom:

So, how did Blumenthal come to possess this classified information in the first place? He wasn’t a government employee at the time and and Clinton was specifically told not to hire him:
