It looks like Nancy Pelosi is a little confused about the nuclear deal signed between Iran and the P5+1 nations.
While on CNN this morning, she told Chris Cuomo that the deal is a “masterful piece of work on the part of President Obama” because Iran* Russia and China “never voted with us in the UN on any sanctions on Iran in the past.”
Oh really? Here’s Noah Pollak with a fact check:
Lauding Obama, Pelosi just told CNN China & Russia "never voted with us in the UN on any [Iran] sanctions in the past." They did 9 times.

And from what we’ve found, 5 of the UN Security Council Resolutions for sanctions on Iran happened before President Obama took office in January 2009.

@NoahPollak This is like during Iran debate when they simply made up centrifuge numbers Obama inherited. Math is hard.

Idea, maybe the media could press Democrats to answer questions here in the real world instead of Obamafantasyland https://t.co/CmpNtWx45o

She also admitted that the Iranians “may” use the billions in sanction money that would be released by the deal to fund terrorism and other “bad things” in the words of Chris Cuomo:

Masterful indeed!
* Editor’s note: We’ve corrected a typo. Pelosi was referring to Russia and China never voting with the U.S. at the United Nations, not Iran.
