An account allegedly controlled by Ammon Bundy, son of Nevada rancher Cliven Bunday and one of the militia members holed up at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge near Burns, Oregon, is getting a lot of attention this morning after this tweet comparing himself to Rosa Park:
We are doing the same thing as Rosa Parks did. We are standing up against bad laws which dehumanize us and destroy our freedom.
— Ammon Bundy (@Ammon_Bundy) January 6, 2016
But according to MSNBC’s Tony Dokoupil, the account isn’t run by Bundy at all:
People, Ammon Bundy is not operating a twitter account. I stood with him last night as tweets supposedly from him went out.
— tonydokoupil (@tonydokoupil) January 6, 2016
It's not his account, according to Bundy's wife. https://t.co/ckqTD1EesT

About that ridic #RosaParks comparison: @tonydokoupil has confirmed its from a fake #AmmonBundy Twitter account pic.twitter.com/MsKOx5vMXs

USA Today, however, is reporting as if the account is real:

And liberals are outraged over it:

https://t.co/6QlIL8V6iP I liked it better when right wingers were declaring every other thing to be “their” Woodstock.

When Rosa Parks was on the bus she didn’t ask for snacks. https://t.co/1syT0ohYvx

The closest Ammon Bundy will ever get to being Rosa Parks is when he’s in custody in the back of a police car.

Rosa Parks would have been active with
Black Lives Matter
Standing for equal rights.
Not stealing a bus with an AK-47 and saying

A RICH WHITE MAN LIKE YOU @Ammon_Bundy isn't worthy to lick the shoes of Rosa Parks or any black woman fighting for our civil & human rights
— liza sabater (@blogdiva) January 6, 2016
White people, we need to finally all agree that there is no context in the universe where we can compare ourselves to Rosa Parks. Just stop.

My favorite part of U.S. history is when Rosa Parks broke into an unoccupied federal wildlife refuge and then sat there while no one cared.

Cliven Bundy: "You know, black people was better off being slaves."
Ammon Bundy: "Shut UP, dad, we're TOTES Rosa Parks!"

These people here wilding. Don't utter Rosa Parks in the same sentence with armed terrorists that probably could care less about Rosa Parks.

You're Insane!
1st – You're exactly the kind of racist she stood against
2nd – Rosa didn't hijack a bus with rifles https://t.co/cmo55AHDdL— Wisdom Rocks (@GetWisdomDude) January 6, 2016
So, what is it? Fake or not?
