And another part of the Politico hit piece on Ben Carson and West Point goes poof.
Carson’s campaign is now saying he met with General Westmoreland in February of 1969, not May of 1969 as was outlined in Carson’s book, “Gifted Hands.” This means there’s an error in the book, but Politico was insinuating that the meeting with Westmoreland never happened, which meant that a nomination to West Point offered by Westmoreland was therefore impossible:
