For the first time since July, Republican front-runner Donald Trump is no longer the front-runner, at least according to a just-released national poll from the New York Times/CBS. It’s Ben Carson in first at 26%, followed by Trump at 22%:

We’re seeing a lot of Trump supporters bashing the poll, but this might be a problem as Trump has been a fan of CBS polls in the past and talked up the network’s polling two days ago:
A big POLL will be announced this morning on @CBSNews Face The Nation. I wonder if I do well if the press will report the results? Doubt it

.@ByronYork Great numbers from @CBSNews Poll. Also from ABC-Washington Post Poll. Thank you! @CNN

Do you believe that @FoxNews is still playing up the old Iowa poll numbers and no mention of the ABCWashington Post or just out CBS results?

Leaving for New Hampshire now. Will be doing the @TODAYshow there, live at 7:00 A.M. New @CBSNews Poll of New Hampshire: Trump 38 Carson 12!

But we will point out that it’s still too early for Carson/Rubio/Bush/Fiorina/Cruz/everyone else to do a victory dance. Trump is still up by almost 5% in the RealClearPolitics national poll average:
