We have absolutely no idea what just happened in the Indianapolis Cols–New England Patriots game, but it was hilarious.
Here’s the setup: It’s 4th-and-three and the Colts lined up to punt on their own 37-yard-line. But then it looks like they attempted some sort of trick play where 9 of the players lined up on the right side of the field and two players stayed over the ball as the center and QB.
New England defended whatever type of trickery the Colts were attempting, so the smart move would have been to have the 9 players line back up on the ball. The Colts, however, chose differently:

New England took over on downs and went on to score a TD. Sorry Colts fans — can’t blame Tom Brady’s deflated footballs this time!
