Another day, another example of hashtag slactivism from team Obama!
Today it’s to celebrate the U.N.’s International Day of the Girl Child — #DayOfTheGirl — as well as #62MillionGirls, a Michelle Obama initiative from earlier this month to bring attention to the “62 million girls worldwide who are not in school.”
You see, posting black and white photos with the caption, “In school, I learned ____.” will somehow magically help end how girls are discriminated against around the world:
In school we learn to be confident. #62MillionGirls don't have that chance: http://t.co/A4AkZqxAuL #DayOfTheGirlhttps://t.co/4ZRiQBQpMh

#DayOfTheGirl even has a Spotify playlist, so maybe that will do the trick?

Will these songs help end female genital mutilation?

Or anything else?
Since we’re still waiting for #BringBackOurGirls to work, forgive us if we don’t have high hopes for this hashtag either.
