Big news at the U.S. Open where heavily favored Serena Williams was just defeated by Italy’s Roberta Vinci, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4, propelling Vinci into the Finals on Sunday against fellow Italian Flavia Pannetta:
And after beating Serena, Vinci is winning fans for her post-match interview where she admitted she didn’t think she had a chance to win and apologized to America for ruining Serena’s shot at a Grand Slam, saying “today is my day!”
