Of all the things to get pulled over for by a police officer, speeding in a school zone has to be one of the most cut-and-dried offenses.

Except if you’re this woman in Palm Beach County, Florida who was caught going 51 m.p.h. in a 20 m.p.h. school zone. According to her, the deputy who gave her the ticket was an “a**hole” and giving out speeding tickets is one of the reasons why “you people get shot”:

Video of the stop has gone viral after getting posted to YouTube by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department. As you can clearly see in the clip, the deputy’s behavior during the stop is exemplary:

More from WSVN:

After her attempts to get out of the ticket fails, she begins to beg. “I’m begging you,” she said. “I promise I won’t do it again. I really wasn’t aware.”

The deputy is firm and hands her a citation for $606. And when she realizes her pleas were not working, the next few words were not as pleasant. “You know what? No wonder you people get shot,” Feinberg said. “You’re absolute [expletive].”

Remaining calm, the deputy says, “OK, thank you, ma’am. I appreciate that.”

Palm Beach County Sheriff Rick Bradshaw said, “This isn’t a deputy that made an arrest. This isn’t a deputy that is in a fight with somebody. This isn’t a questionable circumstance. This is a deputy trying to make sure children are safe. She has to make the comment of, ‘This is why you people get shot,’ and then calls him [expletive]. What’s the reason behind that?”

Way to show your true colors, lady.
