Police in Tennessee have identified Tremaine Wilbourn, 29, as the suspect in last night’s shooting and murder of Memphis Police Officer Sean Bolton during what is being called a routine traffic stop:

Wilbourn was convicted of robbing a bank in 2005 and is reportedly on “supervised release” from prison:

From the Commercial Appeal:

In a Sunday evening press conference, officials identified the suspect as Tremaine Wilbourn, who was convicted of robbing the Friendship Bank in Covington in 2005. He was on supervised release after being sentenced to 10 years for that robbery.

Not very supervised.
