Chaos in Wichita, Kan. this morning as an accident of some sort involving a “bee truck” resulted in the release of over 100,000 of the flying insects:

Initial reports indicate there are 100 thousand BEES in a parking lot after that bee truck overturned. @kwchemily on the way

Reporters were quickly dispatched to see what happened, of course:

Correction: Employee says the bees were being transferred from one truck to another when the bees got loose.

And then the reporters got trapped in the car because of, you know, 100,000 bees swarming around the accident:

Police are refusing to help, saying this is not a “police matter”:
