Sonny Kim, a 27-year veteran of the Cincinnati police department, was shot and killed earlier today by a man attempting to commit “suicide by cop”:

The gunman, 21-year old Trepierre Hummons, died in the shootout as well and is reported to have called 911 on himself to lure officers to his location:

Calling 911 with the intent to shoot cops is an act of pure evil–the definition of injustice. I pray for God's help to restore justice.

And during a prayer vigil for officer Kim, we’re seeing reports that members of Hummons’ family got into an altercation of some sort with the police allegedly over whether the vigil was for just officer Kim or for Kim and Hummons.
Unbelievable. This thug kills a cop and his family wants a prayer vigil?
Family members of Trepierre Hummons were in a confrontation with police outside tonight's vigil. They have now left the scene. @Enquirer

Witnesses say the confrontation was over whether the vigil is for both victims of today's shooting or only the fallen officer. @Enquirer

Had to leave: But I'm told after spat in previously tweeted video, Tre's family shook hands with officers after service. #Madisonville @WCPO
