The Los Angeles Police Department and an independent review board have reportedly cleared two LAPD officers in the 2014 shooting death of Ezell Ford, according to a report in the Los Angeles Times:

Protesters took to the streets shortly after Ford’s death, which came just days after the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., claiming Ford was shot in the back while obeying the officers’ commands. Tonight’s report, however, backs up claims made immediately following the incident that the shooting happened as Ford struggled for one of the cop’s gun:

But although both the LAPD and this independent watchdog have determined that the shooting was justified, that’s just not good enough for some tonight:
