NYPD Commissioner William Bratton is currently addressing the New York City Council and updating them on the state of policing in the city.

Here’s one of the live tweets from the meeting:

Nothing too controversial, right?

Disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner, however, thinks it’s a “bad strategy to quote polls”:

Well, that tweet led to this rather amusing exchange between Weiner and New York Daily News reporter Josh Greenman who quickly showed the hypocrisy of Weiner’s statement:

The trap is set…

…and the mouse has been caught:

Oops. From the Fox News link:

New York Rep. Anthony Weiner cited a survey that Public Policy Polling, a Democratic firm, released Tuesday showing 53 percent of voters want opponents of the law to refuse government coverage.

And an op-ed Weiner wrote for Politico:

Public opinion polls bear this out. When the public option is described correctly as “like Medicare,” it is approved by more than 70 percent.

Weiner was not amused by the use of his own exact words against him, but we were … especially by Greenman’s response below:

Ha! And some might say that Greenman’s hobby is a lot more practical than Weiner spending his free time sending nekkid pics to pen-pals.
