As we reported, the Met Gala, an annual fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, was held last night in New York City with a dizzying array of celebrities strutting down the red carpet in all sorts of weird dresses and hats.
Now each year’s event has a different theme, with last night inspired by the Costume Institute’s exhibit titled, “China: Through the Looking Glass.”
So, how’d a Chinese-themed fancy dress party go over with the ever-tolerant Left? If you guessed “racist,” then bingo:

The #MetGala Chinese theme wasn't as racist as I feared. But why is it that, in 2015, I'm just relieved at the absence of racism?

The theme is Chinese and look what they’re wearing. ? Someone said the #MetGala is like an upscale version of racist Halloween costumes.
