The Charlotte Observer is reporting that NFL quarterback Cam Newton was involved in a two-car accident on the Church Street bridge over I-277 at around 12:30 this afternoon and has been transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries. We’re still awaiting word as to the extent of Newton’s injuries, however:
