Greasy Gavin Newsom Comes Up With a New Label for Himself to Try to Keep the Leopards at Bay

In case anyone hasn't noticed, establishment Democrats are terrified right now. They created the Leopards Eating Faces Party with the DSA and are suddenly wondering why the leopards are looking hungrily at their mugs while licking their jowls.

With the extremely rare exception of Sen. John Fetterman, almost no other elected Democrats will speak out against the communists in the DSA. Chuck Schumer abased himself in front of Abdul El-Sayed only to have El-Sayed support MS-13 supporter Chris Van Hollen for Majority Leader should the Democrats win the Senate. Hakeem Jeffries found out firsthand how much the DSA hates him, even after he cheered for Zohran Mamdani and his slate of leftist lunatics. Even AOC might not be far-left enough for the DSA, recently walking back many of her extreme statements in the past, like 'defund the police.'

The only Democrats who seem to be willing to take on the DSA are those not standing for office, like James Carville, Bill Maher, and Andrew Cuomo.

So, it will come as no surprise that Gavin Newsom, who has never met a political principle that he could not change on a whim, depending on which way the leftist winds are blowing, recently tried to give himself a new label.

No, leopards. Newsom is not an establishment Democrat. He's an 'established insurgent.'

Newsom probably never had a chance at the Democrat nomination in 2028 anyway, seeing as how he is a straight white man — not to mention one of the worst governors in modern political history.

But if the party continues on its current trajectory, depending on how DSA candidates like El-Sayed do in the midterms this fall, he is truly finished in national politics. He just doesn't know it yet.

Calling himself an 'established insurgent' will help his survival about as much as it helps that fish flopping around in the boat.

Especially when the boat is full of hungry leopards.
