If you just recently arrived on Earth from another planet and you want to know what's true and what's false in the U.S. political realm, all that would be necessary is to look up what the legacy media and Democrats labeled "conspiracy theories" over these last few years. The things that have been labeled as conspiracy theories will be the things that ended up being true.
One of those "conspiracy theories" that's been denied and waved off as misinformation campaigns has been claims that FEMA money has been diverted to pay for housing illegal aliens in the U.S.
We were told over and over again that FEMA funds didn't ever go toward illegal aliens.
Former Biden press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said so:
Jean-Pierre Claims FEMA Funds Didn't Go To Illegal Aliens, Blames Trump
— Mr Producer (@RichSementa) October 4, 2024
"It's just categorically false... Washington Post fact checker did a piece and the headline... was, No, Biden did not take FEMA relief money to use on migrants but Trump did."https://t.co/2hDSaDYClZ
Various MSNBC hosts and guests claimed Musk was spreading lies about FEMA funds:

“No evidence to support Trump's claims."

Washington Post's "fact-checker" gave the Dems an assist to try and save their "no, FEMA funds aren't used to house undocumented immigrants" talking points:

This morning I couldn't help but notice yet another example that shows why nobody should ever trust MSM "fact-checkers," and it came by way of Elon Musk and another DOGE finding.
Didn't MSM "fact-checkers" assure us that these kinds of claims were total lies? https://t.co/HG8gDERqNB

I can't wait to see how the "fact-checkers" try and find a way to say this one is false:
The @DOGE team just discovered that FEMA sent $59M LAST WEEK to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal migrants.
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) February 10, 2025
Sending this money violated the law and is in gross insubordination to the President’s executive order.
That money is meant for American disaster relief…
Here's the full post:

Sending this money violated the law and is in gross insubordination to the President’s executive order.
That money is meant for American disaster relief and instead is being spent on high end hotels for illegals!
A clawback demand will be made today to recoup those funds.
The only "conspiracy theory" related to stories like this comes from the media and Dems who conspire to lie about what's really going on.
Just one more reminder that this was pulled from my ceiling two weeks ago after I had multiple roof leaks from Helene.

FEMA denied me, never came to do an inspection, and closed my claim while this grew for months. https://t.co/cz5uvJ9lhu pic.twitter.com/DIkTgFFFbv
But at least some illegals had a comfy, dry place to sleep.
And the Democrats think we'll give a damn if they try to shutdown the government in March. https://t.co/AgwI8f6lRP
