Well, in fairness to President Obama, he’s not just going to the #SXSW festival while in Texas:
Pres Obama embarks this morning on a 2-day fundraising trip to Texas. Has 2 Dem events today in Austin and 2 tomorrow in Dallas.

The SXSW visit is so taxpayers can pick up the tab for Obama’s trip to a few fundraisers:
To amortize the political costs of the fundraising trip, Pres Obama takes part in a policy event today at @sxsw. On "civic engagement."

No golf while in Texas? We’ll have to wait and see.

So is this the real reason @POTUS isn't representing at the funeral?@BarackObama is more concerned with money?#shame https://t.co/6DEIBc1l4y

Spending all his time on his fundraising trips in 2014 really worked wonders for his party in mid-term elections! https://t.co/u3a8nzgaz9

Meanwhile, First Lady Michelle Obama is attending the private funeral service for Nancy Reagan in California today. Former President George W. Bush will be among those in attendance:
