Republican Rep. Raul Labrador of Idaho will reportedly challenge Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy of California for the House majority leader position:
BREAKING: LABRADOR IS IN
— Robert Costa (@costareports) June 13, 2014
LABRADOR: “I want a House Leadership team that reflects the best of our conference."
— Robert Costa (@costareports) June 13, 2014
Labrador gives McCarthy a challenger – but a limited window to campaign and few guarantees of getting beyond disorganized tea party wing
— Robert Costa (@costareports) June 13, 2014
Pretty much all we need to know from this point on is that Eric Cantor’s potential replacement for majority leader is named Labrador.
Jake Tapper, take it away:

I admire @jaketapper for just going for that joke. Although there have to be concerns that Labrador's too dogmatic https://t.co/zWgcNSKZna
