As we told you over the weekend, David Hogg’s interview on “All In With Chris Hayes” went in a fairly predictable direction when the gun control activist claimed that white Americans want to have guns because of xenophobia. Hogg also told Hayes this is another reason to support a massive rollback of gun rights:
.@davidhogg111, in calling for new restrictions on Americans' gun rights, cites "our history of white supremacy in the United States and the fact that we live in a post-genocidal society oftentimes that was orchestrated by the United States government" against Native Americans. pic.twitter.com/avtZ91vkpN

Do people like Hogg (and Hayes) ever step back for a moment and examine what they’re saying?
Odd that the moral of Hogg’s story is that government can become tyrannical so the people should be disarmed. https://t.co/kfczTHr2ZA

Irony can be pretty ironic sometimes!
The irony is that our nation’s gun laws were literally designed to prevent people of color from arming to be able to protect themselves from white supremacy. https://t.co/Ofpeha1dmV https://t.co/Ofpeha1dmV https://t.co/uEbwSGqCuf

They had guns, @davidhogg111. The government was trying to confiscate them and that’s how we ended up with the Wounded Knee Massacre. The same thing you advocate for is the same thing that will harm and kill minorities, just like in the past.

I like how Chris Hayes simultaneously portrays himself as an intellectual and also takes David Hogg seriously.
