It all started when “Ellen” producer Andy Lassner had a short back & forth with Dana Loesch:
Here’s the truth. I don’t have the answer to the gun problem. The mass shootings. I don’t want to take guns away from law abiding citizens. Many people in my life own guns. But, we have a serious problem and we MUST start talking about gun violence solutions in a bipartisan way.

We have to penalize agencies that do not submit all prohibited cases to NCIC (Charleston, Sutherland Springs). They’re not following the law. Also need to stop coddling dangers offenders in their youth by preventing establishment of criminal record (Dayton, Parkland).
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) September 1, 2019
Well this is definitely a start.

Uh oh, now he’s done it! Vox’s Aaron Rupar didn’t like an actual civil discussion about the topic, possibly because it contained no kneejerk NRA blame or any similar talking points:
It’s silly to earnestly engage with a former paid NRA gun shill on the topic of preventing gun violence
— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) September 2, 2019
A civil discussion about the issue is “silly”? That figures:
So @andylassner tweets that he wants a legitimate solution to gun violence@DLoesch provides a legitimate solution to help@atrupar bitches at Andy to stop engaging with Dana
It’s almost as if these people don’t want a solution and just want to use it as a talking point…. pic.twitter.com/UiuVNiRtok

Thread. @DLoesch is right. Aaron’s narrow mindedness will never change. People like him are part of the problem not the solution.
Thank you, @andylassner for wanting to have an honest and open conversation to find a solution. https://t.co/qNceucDAWa

Too right. Andy prioritizes actual discussion of solutions over that posturing.
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) September 2, 2019
To the obvious displeasure of some on the Left.
It’s pretty hard for Aaron to claim he cares about innocent lives being taken when he tries to openly silence anyone discussing a legitimate solution just because it doesn’t go along with his narrative.

Vox "journalist" ??

It’s incredibly counterproductive to detract from honest dialogue about a mutual problem & potential solutions because you don’t like who’s throwing out ideas.
— Smirque De Sar (@FoundersGirl) September 2, 2019
Well, she provided more of a solution than any of the people stumping for the dnc ticket
— Jaeden Ironwolf (@avengarious) September 2, 2019
They want to discuss solutions to gun violence.
They don't want gun owners to be involved in the discussion.
Just to obey the decision. https://t.co/sp4tuljWfu— Arthur Kimes (@ComradeArthur) September 2, 2019
Such “discussions” often end with people like Rep. Eric Swalwell reminding everybody who has the nukes.
