Last month we told you that Chris Hayes welcomed Frank Luntz to the climate change crusade with a scornful reminder about how he did “tangible harm to lots of people” in his years before deciding to drink from the cup marked “Al Gore’s Kool Aid.” Fast-forward to early August, and Luntz is still finding it difficult to get any love from the Left in spite of his change of heart on global warming (or “climate crisis” or “climate chaos” or whatever they’re calling it this week):
Looks like the @NewRepublic is more interested in punishing people than solving problems.
I’ll still keep doing what I can to get people on board with cleaning up our environment – we all share the same planet.https://t.co/p0WUNbp3Sc https://t.co/p0WUNbp3Sc

Maybe because the crusade he’s trying to join is more about punishing people than solving problems? Here’s how’s it going with these new friends on the Left:

Democrats should not welcome former climate deniers like @FrankLuntz with open arms. https://t.co/JMoORpLl4Q

Democrats are seeking advice from people who once opposed action on global warming. They should be seeking accountability. @davelevitan writes: https://t.co/BObhRunzXY

Frank, your contribution to climate propaganda is criminal.
Luntz advised Republicans to cast doubt on scientific consensus on the dangers of greenhouse gases and to publicly hammer home a message of uncertainty.

Gee, it sounds like Luntz still has a lot of repenting to do.
Remember how @AOC said if we just come to the left side, all will be forgiven?
The New Republic didn’t get that memo. https://t.co/4qULOoXbe7

Maybe Luntz will someday come to realize it’s not really about “climate change,” as AOC’s former staffer once admitted.
