As we told you yesterday, the Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles was hosted by YAF at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he delivered a speech entitled “Men are Not Women.” In addition to facing hecklers, Knowles was hit by a substance thrown by a masked protester that was believed to be bleach at the time.
University of Missouri-Kansas City’s response to the incident sent a lot of eyes rolling, and the local paper, the Kansas City Star, chased that by serving up this headline:
Protester at right-wing UMKC event arrested, but was speaker hoping for a disruption? https://t.co/mYl3i3c3DU

Journalism 2019!
He was askin' for it. Didn't you see what he was wearing? https://t.co/wXh48bAMVo

Was he asking for it, @KCStar? Was his skirt too tight? Top too low cut?
You had so many chances (when you conceived, wrote, edited, published) to have a sensible thought and not blame the guy who was attacked. You should be ashamed. #ksleg https://t.co/L7isn33uCQ— Joseph Ashby (@JosephAshbyShow) April 13, 2019
And that tweet’s getting ratioed into oblivion as a result.
This story makes me sad and embarrassed to live in a city that would have a newspaper be so blantantly biased

Shame on the @KCStar for their victim blaming. https://t.co/tCZUovgxL0

Conservative speaker was "asking" to be assaulted, says KC Star "newspaper." https://t.co/OIUviEY5LF

So now it is the speaker's fault? I'm done with this nonsense paper. https://t.co/cg0HpOKKO8

What a joke of a newspaper, can you get any more biased? https://t.co/AlaOr9aPHE

For some reason we’re guessing if the speaker had been a liberal and the protester a Republican the headline spin would have been a little different.
