Representative-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just recently arrived in Washington, DC, and just about every day she’s made truly baffling and outlandish statements. Speaking of baffling and outlandish, New York Times’ Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman came to the defense of Ocasio-Cortez against her critics this way:
Their insecurity in the face of a bright, charismatic woman of color is spectacular. I particularly like the constant claims that she's stupid when, let's face it, the average GOP House member knows as much about policy as the average house pet. https://t.co/JzK4665oRy

Big thumbs-up from Ocasio-Cortez:
?? when Nobel Prize-winning economists get in on roasting GOP bullies ?? https://t.co/fdaRjYryaM

But some considered the source for a moment, which made Krugman’s defense of AOC a little less impressive:
Maybe sit this one out Mr. The Markets Will Never Recover Trump….

There's no bigger partisan hack than Paul Krugman. Nice call on the stock market after Trump election. ".. markets are plunging. When might we expect them to recover? A first-pass answer is never… So we are very probably looking at a global recession, with no end in sight."

Yeah, Krugman really nailed that one, didn’t he? *Eye roll*
"Woman of color"?
Also, even if Hispanics are now "colored," at least in Krugman's eyes, why the constant progressive obsession w/ skin color? https://t.co/pOmyIIqxZC

Sometimes that’s all they’ve got.
