As we told you earlier, President Trump’s comments last night about political tone and civility didn’t go far enough to satisfy CNN’s Jim Acosta, who said Trump “took no responsibility for his own rhetoric.” Meanwhile, CNN’s Chris Cillizza, in possible disbelief that there are people not pinning the blame for the current climate on what Trump says, posed a question:
Honest question for Trump supporters: Do you believe that he bears no responsibility for the current political environment?
— Chris Cillizza (@CillizzaCNN) October 25, 2018
The old saying “don’t ask a question if you don’t want to know the answer” might apply to much of the response to Cillizza:
Also the media deserves blame as well for the environment we are in right now!!!

Not a Trump supporter.
Trump would not be president if not for the media creating the current political environment by being grossly biased for Democrats.

Self-awareness isn’t taught in journalism school, apparently.
He has never said attack his political opponents @CillizzaCNN. It is democrat leaders who have been saying take the streets and get in people's faces. You liberals and media are so full of crap. This is why we call you fake news.

Hey Chris, any response on how these incidents might affect the "political environment"? pic.twitter.com/P1521MNqZU

Honest answer- Look what went on during the inauguration. Trumps fault? OR liberals not accepting the result and resorting to violence? That’s where it started.

Will you report this? Maybe not. The old CNN would. This is why no one trusts liberal media. https://t.co/nsIzKS2Uyr

I think you need to get a full size mirror and answer that question yourself, first. https://t.co/s5TyasagOL

@CillizzaCNN Your question is not broad enough. Why just single Trump out? All politicians and media bear responsibility. The constant anti-Trump barrage doesn't help anything. Influential people (including media) need to pay attention to what they say. https://t.co/bLdmw9UBwu

Honest question for leftist shills masquerading as "journalists":
Do you believe you bear any responsibility for the current poliitcal climate? https://t.co/k4iVkiA7h3

Can you answer the same question about your network first? https://t.co/AAGLMt4bXO

Perhaps someday the MSM will not only ask themselves the same question, but honestly answer it. Meanwhile…
How about instead of asking Trump supporters what they believe you take a long hard honest look at the media and it’s responsibility for the current political environment? https://t.co/eeXXJHXnB6
