Speaker of the House Paul Ryan offering thoughts and prayers has sparked a lot of hate from the Left. As for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, he thinks prayers should best be left to the experts to make room for the always at-the-ready call on Republicans to “do something”:
We have pastors, priests and rabbis to offer thoughts and prayers.
What we need from Republicans in DC is to do something. Lead.

Prayers weren’t discouraged by everybody except clergy after the NYC attack not long ago:
That's weird because I saw you offer thoughts and prayers in the hours after the terrorist attack on the bike path last week. https://t.co/VaOIpm25Ax

CUOMO: "First, our thoughts and prayers are with those New Yorkers who we lost today." https://t.co/VaOIpm25Ax

Do as they say, not as they do.
This is such a pathetic response: "Don't pray, just get mad at Republicans!" https://t.co/O8oydFP9eH

Pathetic and then some. And you might recall that after the terrorist attack in Manhattan where a truck was used to mow down pedestrians on a bike path, Gov. Cuomo and NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio still found time to change the subject to gun control.
I think you have politics and religion mixed up.
Or, in your case, maybe not. https://t.co/Jcgl1MwSsU

GP What specific piece of federal legislation do you propose that would've prevented this shooting? I'll wait. https://t.co/m0EU3tKmAt

You'd think he'd be too busy with his terror attack to cast stones, but here we are… https://t.co/kTRHzanGMv
