Seddique Mateen said that while he wasn’t aware of the specifics involving Pulse nightclub’s security operations, he said when a club opens, “They should have enough security when 300 or 400 people come to the business.

“The life of 400 people depends on that business,” he told members of the media, suggesting the club was skimping on its security to save money. “Maybe they [had] some kind of sloppy security.”
