This was a hot project in Hollywood until the rest of America found out about it. https://t.co/7hpEsUFDby

The announcement of a movie project in the works based on a script that turns Ronald Reagan’s Alheimer’s disease into a fictional “satire” has been slammed by many, including members of the Reagan family. The movie was to star Will Ferrell as Ronald Reagan, but the actor has pulled out, according to his agent:
Will Ferrell's spokesman says he won't be participating in the Reagan film making fun of Alzheimer's https://t.co/zKLTCLCMoO

Many wonder how the “project” even got as far as it did:
Good. The project should now die the ignoble death it deserved long ago. https://t.co/cTE51MzZru

@lachlan It's nice to know he possesses human decency. Or just a good survival instinct as an actor..

Good. I had developed a deep loathing for him and resolved never to watch him again.

Thank you. Alzheimer's is one of the most horrific things a family goes through. It is never funny. https://t.co/fyrZvnzGVs

Good. At least he's a pragmatist. https://t.co/oxzD3Nq5HB

@lachlan "Won't be participating" feels disingenuous since he and his production company were the reason it was going from script to screen

Good. But the fact that it was even considered shows what a disgusting bubble these people live in. https://t.co/F6uyTl1FGR

@lachlan @PageSixEmily I couldn't believe he would even consider it
