Yesterday Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid predicted that “Sen. McConnell will cave” and end up holding a vote on President Obama’s Supreme Court Nominee Merrick Garland.
Today, Reid’s tone would indicate he’s not convinced Republicans will cave, so he’s blasting the Senate GOP for disagreeing with Obama and sparking the launch of Donald Trump. Oh, and “birthers,” or something:
3 right-wing forces have given rise to Trump: 1) the birther movement, 2) the anti-Muslim movement, and 3) the anti-immigrant movement.

McConnell’s blind rejection of Obama’s policies was simply the kinder, gentler Senate version of birtherism.

Trump’s style of no-holds-barred politics was forged in the Senate GOP caucus. We are seeing this play out now in the debate over SCOTUS.
