In 2012, many on the Left, including President Obama, had a good time mocking Mitt Romney for saying Russia remained the United States’ number one geopolitical threat.

Where does that issue stand today?

Well look at that. It seems like only yesterday…

The best and brightest!

  • Janice LEE

Romney was right on everything. The msm and their willing accomplices on the far right made sure Obie won, again. Candy Crowley has an accomplice now……Megyn Kelly.

    • tbmbuzz

Let’s not exaggerate here. Crowley as an Obama enabler sandbagged Romney with a blatant lie. Kelly merely asked a stupid, politically correct question.

      • tops116 ✓Quipper

The question wasn’t stupid; Trump’s whiny behavior on Twitter afterwards was stupid. If anything, though, it nicely foreshadowed how he’d take losing Iowa.

        • Deplorable AMERICAN™✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

He was rather gracious about losing, I suppose not so gracious about Ted Cruz winning.

          • The Man from Scene 24

Was gracious.. not any longer. His Yes-Men have convinced him that he was robbed.

          • AMD_Afficionado

Which is plausible, since Ben Carson was robbed by Rubio (if you believe El Rushbo’s spin) and Cruz.

          • JunkMonkey

            He was gracious.

            …for a minute. Then he wasn’t.

          • EverydayWoman

Not gracious about exposing dirty tricks of Cruz camp! Dr Zcardon us right, such dirty underhand “win at all costs” DC values are why Ameticans are so disillusioned with politics!

        • DixieAngel_76

Did I miss something? When did a post about Romney become about Trump?

          • Taco bout ?FireandFury

            isn’t everything about Trump?

          • DixieAngel_76

            Not really.

        • tbmbuzz

To both Tops116 and Burnt Orange: agreed on Trump. However, I still consider Kelly’s question stupid and inappropriate in the SETTING. With so many problems facing this nation – ISIS, Obama, debt, shredding of the Constitution – THIS was the VERY FIRST question she came up with in the debate?? It was a mindlessly trivial “look at how wonderful I am” question. Give me a friggin break!

          • Minicapt

Her question was based on the level of DonJohn’s political intellect. He finished his answer by proving her right.

      • Burnt Orange

Given Trump’s prior statements about certain women the question seemed a good chance for him to walk back his prior statements. Did he? NO! The dope just proved his dislike of strong women by attacking his questioner. Trump is a punk with money but little or no class. In America millionaires like him are pretty common. He just happens to be one with a nasty streak, little character and no regard for other people. He lies about his political beliefs just to be elected. The male version of Hillary. Can’t believe so many conservatives have fallen for this total blowhard. They seem like liberals thirsting after Hillary no matter what she says or does. Guess both sides have their stooges and dim wits.

      • fools2234

I applaud Kelly. Not only did she ask hard, but fair, questions of all candidates (questions they will be asked during the GE) she also got the unelectable clown to not show up for the IA debate, which is imo one of the main reasons Rubio almost beat him.

Your clown is unelectable and you’re an idiot for supporting him.

        • tbmbuzz

Show me where I said I support Trump. What is your reading level? Kindergarten?
My beef is with Kelly, yet another self absorbed “journalist” who does the entire country a disservice by joining her fellow “journalists” in making the presidential debates entertainment shows. Give me the more mature FBN moderators and Jim Lehrer any time!

      • Jesse-Messy Hammer

Which “stupid-PC” question do you mean, o MKDS-afflicted one? Do you mean [1] when she asked Trump just how/why he became a RepCon (THE question Trumpty-Dumpty shoulda been able to answer in his fKing SLEEP by then), or was it [2] when MK asked Carly to defend Santorum’s “pro-life creds” (whereupon Carly behaved as if Megyn rather than Rick were here [Carly’s] fKing primary-opponent)? Especially if it’s #2 you mean, the joke’s on YOU: I got one of your fellow “Carly-lovers-with-MKDS” to admit that Rick’s only claim to pro/lifery is that he’s always voted to outlaw partial/live-birth abortion. THAT somehow makes Rick so pro-life as for Carly to get into a cat-fight in Rick’s defense? Well, Buzz, at least Megyn ain’t so “PC” as to know that (pro)LIFE BEGINS at CONCEPTION…just like Megyn knows (unlike Trump) that Reagan was NOT EVER “pro-choice before the Dem-party left him too”.

        • tbmbuzz

Let me guess. You’re on the rag or forgot to take your meds.

    • tops116 ✓Quipper

“Candy Crowley has an accomplice now……Megyn Kelly.”

Thanks for dropping that Grade-A bullshit on the thread and for demonstrating that you know absolutely nothing.

      • san rafael blue

That’s very a harsh response to give to the writer just for expressing her opinion. This is Election Year, a complete unknown for all. None of us can say for sure what will happen. I know I can’t. Have a good day.

        • DixieAngel_76

I’ll have to say, just this once I agree with you 100%. Thank you for making a good point.

That is why Benghazi was about a video, and ISIS was a JV squad. If the truth had been known from the start Obama would have been impeached during his first term.

Yes, but I have no problem with people repeatedly pointing out that Romney was right and Obama was wrong.

      • discus_it

With Obama’s and the MSM’s condescending tone over Romney’s thoughtful and true insight, this should be pointed out as often as possible.

  • John Galt

Wow. If you read the comments on the NYT article, it’s amazing how many of those leftists think the US is the only reason why Russia would have reason to be a threat. The idiotic left thinks the US is the world’s only problem. If I had a dollar for every one of those comments that included some form of the “military industrial complex” at the heart of the problem, I’d be able to stop working for month.

And those were the EDITOR’S PICKS comments!

    • Petrucio14

To be accurate, the US is the reason Russia is again a threat. Ever since about 2008 if I had to pick a year. US weakness always fills a void that totalitarian tyrants are eager to fill.

      • John Galt

Partially agree…Putin certainly filled a vacuum that didn’t have to be there, but Putin was always headed down the tyrant path. The extent to which he can be successful was/is largely in our hands.

    • Reg Conservative

They are always the EDITOR’S PICKS on that rag !

So much that Mitt was right about. So glad he wasn’t conservative enough for so many and we got 4 more years of Obama. Can’t wait to get 4 or 8 of Hillary because whoever the candidate is, is a RINO, not conservative enough, the establishment guy, etc…..///

I have a leftist brother who is a college professor. He ‘grew up’ in the 70s and truly believes that the US is the cause of all the evil in the world. No wonder your kid comes out of college stupid.

    • Petrucio14

He hasn’t grown up at all yet, and I wouldn’t wait around for that to happen. Most colleges have found the fountain of idealistic youth and bathe in it often.

      • thale_taxurfeet ♂ Vilified

Now it seems that fit turned into a lifestyle for more than a few of those denizens of the Sixties, Seventies, and beyond, idealistically stuck in the age of irrational who once hated The Man, and now want The Man to rule over everyone’s everything.

  • Burnt Orange

Obama’s glib personal attacks were successful even though they were false. They worked just like Saul Alinsky said they would. With his enablers in the MSM this fraud was foisted on an unsuspecting American public. The MSM did everything but use guns to force the public into voting for the “first Black President” the first time and bailed him out of all the scandals the second time around.
They have exhausted their creditability and will not be able to push Hillary down the throats of America this time around. NO ONE pays attention to these lying fools any more. Brain dead NYT readers still live in the 1970s and worship the mostly all white and male institution that keeps calling everyone racist and against women. How ironic.

  • wharfrat

If anybody owes anybody an apology it’s the Democrats who owe the American people for voting for the prick we now have destroying our nation, his name is Obama, today he let us know that he’s a true Muslim and is all for helping them but not the true American people, the faster he leaves the better this country will be.
