As Twitchy reported yesterday, co-chair of the Colorado Springs ACLU, Loring Wirbel, posted this about what should be done about Trump voters:

The ACLU of Colorado has attempted to distance the organization from Wirbel’s comments, but just a little:
ACLU of Colorado official comment on the recent personal Facebook post of regional volunteer Loring Wirbel. pic.twitter.com/92cyWnSb8O

Wirbel had originally claimed the screenshot of his Facebook post was taken out of context, but his own organization doesn’t even mention that:
Note how the ACLU doesn't claim it was a hit-job fraud like #Wirbel did. They know him. https://t.co/sliihVtNFD https://t.co/VDGztkOz6M

Does the ACLU’s “explanation” go far enough? No:
Weak response from Colorado ACLU. Chairman Jeff Hays and I just put out a call for Wirbel to resign or be removed. https://t.co/OonqknofMA

@ACLUofColorado Birbel wants to kill people who don't agree with him. Not "nonpartisan" & not "fighting for the rights of all Coloradans".

@ACLUofColorado By refusing to sever ties you are essentially endorsing your volunteer's call for assassination of American citizens.

.@ACLUofColorado His statement =OPPOSITE of defending #CivilRights
& was encouraging OTHERS to "Reach Out" w/ the same Message#Copolitics— ?? Chris P. Bacon ? (@CPBacon4CO) December 11, 2015
A member of their Board of Directors is just a "regional volunteer." I don't think so. https://t.co/RElpqicsr9 https://t.co/VDGztkOz6M

Wirbel is still listed as a “Co-Chair and Chapter Rep. to ACLU of Colorado Board,” though his Facebook post about Trump voters has apparently been deleted.
