Over the weekend it was reported that the Secret Service had kicked cancer-stricken kids and their parents out of a park near the White House for security reasons so President Obama could get to a Congressional Black Caucus function.
The Secret Service has apologized for how they handled the situation:

It was pointed out at the time that if the kids had brought homemade clocks with them, they might have been invited to the White House instead of kicked out of Lafayette Park.
