Thomas Duncan, the man from Liberia who was being treated for Ebola at a Dallas hospital, died earlier today.
Though Duncan died from the horrible effects of the Ebola virus, there are many people blaming other factors.

You know the black brother was going to pass away. Save the missionaries and let the brother die. http://t.co/GiaLM9bCEH

Black Americans are treated differently in the justice system, healthcare system and even in death. Black skin is the sin. #racism #Ebola

We have the best health care system in the world! We just won't use it to treat you.

Everyone knows that I never hop on the racist train but this shit blows me. Thomas Duncan didn't have to die.

Funny how they always have a "cure" for #Ebola for white ppl. But nothing they can do for black even they are in USA. Thomas Eric Duncan
— Doraemon Lee (@wing888) October 8, 2014
“Racism” wasn’t the only thing to blame:
RIP Thomas Eric Duncan & condolences to his loved ones. Ebola didn't kill him, bureaucracy and underfunding did.
— Jaime Starling (@The_Murmuration) October 8, 2014
Though many tweets we saw talked about Duncan not being given the “cure” for Ebola, according to the CDC, “no FDA-approved vaccine or medicine (e.g., antiviral drug) is available for Ebola.”
So the system is "racist" for not curing Thomas Eric Duncan? He's not a citizen, he lied to get into the country, and we STILL treated him.
— Angela Morabito (@AngelaLMorabito) October 8, 2014
Seriously, why does every issue turn into racism. The Ebola patient died and it was not due to the nurses & doctors being racist.
