Parker Griffith, a former state senator and U.S. congressman who is now a candidate for Alabama governor, was asked at a town hall meeting about his brief switch a few years ago from the Democrat to Republican Party, and then back to Democrat again. Griffith’s description of how that was received in the state was, let’s just say, quite a stretch:
